What I love about homeschooling

I love being with my girls plain and simple! I love hearing their thoughts and witnessing their "AHA!" moments and knowing I was a part of it.

Being able to control their exposure to inappropriate influences. Children need to be given the opportunity to stay children and not be pushed into an adult world long before they're ready. Click HERE to read more.

Squirrel's Summary of the Purim Fest

Fluffy Puppy, Me and Mama Llama went to our temple last night and we went to services first. In services we learned about Hamen >:( and when they said his name we shook our noise makers and so did the whole room! Me and Mamma Llama got into the conga line :)! After services we all ate! Then once I was done with dessert, I asked if I could go play with my friends and so I did! We played hide and seek for the rest of the night!

Purim

Yoda/Squirrel

Our Temple had Purim services yesterday. They were fun, upbeat, and just plain hysterical. After the services, we went to dinner, then there was a movie about how Barbie is Jewish. It was so stupid, but so hilariously random. If you want to watch, go http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GWbyZapkWRo :)

After that, Mom and I went to go find Squirrel, who was playing with her friends. Then we made masks (pictures below). It was really fun ^.^

My mask (with four Deathly Hallows signs and two scars... Nerdy :D)

Art project~

Today, we did that project. It was really, really fun.

Squirrel's finished work:

And Fluffy Puppy's. If you can guess where/what this is, you get extra points :)

At first, I was going to do a different picture, but I couldn't get the perception right. So I'll attempt that another day. Here's the original picture: http://www.stpeter-skokie.org/images/outside.jpg

Squirrel is learning about three-four digit multiplication. She likes it a lot, though it's difficult.

And I'm doing the genealogy on my family... It's extremely difficult. My Grandma has 9 siblings, my Grandpa has 10, my Big Bubbe had 5, and my Zayde had 3. :)

"The purpose of this world is not 'to have and to hold' but 'to give and to serve'. There can be no other meaning."
